Palazzo Casavola

The actual Palazzo Casavola was built in the second half of the 19th century by the great grandfather of the current owner. At the time it was one of the first “modern” buildings to be constructed outside the walls of the old town. Just recently the owner decided to restore this beautiful building and a fruitful relationship with the chosen architect brought magnificent results.
Vivid colours enhance the beauty of the building and create a fresh and light-hearted atmosphere. Despite its rich history, there is no stuffiness here. The old Signor Casavola, who built the house, would have been proud to see that the family history is being cherished and kept alive. He was a landowner strongly committed to the unification of Italy, as evidenced by the 19th century photographs showing Mazzini, Cavour and Victor Emmanuel II.
Rumour has it that many important people were hosted at the Palazzo Casavola in the past.
Nowadays the Casavolas are equally hospitable and have decided to welcome guests from all over the world to their Palazzo.
They inhabit one part of it while a completely independent part of the building is open to their guests. Signor Casavola, his wife and two daughters are splendid, discreet and absolutely charming hosts.
The apartment is finished to the highest standards and is just the perfect match to the baroque jewel of Martina Franca, home to the annual Festival Della Valle D’Itria- a summer opera festival.
However, it is also a great base to discover the rest of this fabulous region- its culture, its people, landscapes and beaches.

“I had intended to email you last night Isabell, to say what a fantastic time we had. Everything was perfect!
The owners of both places were so lovely and generous with welcome food and drinks we were so surprised and delighted .
I could have stayed for months.
Thank you so much and I will definitely be recommending you to anyone I can.”

“Wir waren vom Apartment und vom Besitzer total begeistert. Unsere Ankunft und Begrüßung in Martina Franca von Herrn Casavola war schon eine Reise wert ;-).”
