The 16th century Masseria is set within a large estate with olive trees and vineyards, at only a short distance to the Ionian Sea and some picture-perfect beaches.
The hosts, Maria Grazia and her family have made it their mission to share the love for their land, the pleasures of countryside living and the beauty of the Masseria with their guests. The renovation of the Masseria has left all the historic aspects of it intact while creating 18 comfortable rooms and apartments. Most of them feature fireplaces and private outside spaces overlooking the garden with swimming pool and Mediterranean plants. The overall style is simple, yet refined, while maintaining a strong bond to local traditions. Most rooms feature antique furniture and ceramics from the region, enhancing the Apulian atmosphere furthermore. Maria Grazia is a dedicated decorator and enjoys to surprise her guests with imaginative table decorations.
Most of the food at Masseria Tenuta Potenti is homegrown, and so is the wine. The evening menu is decided every morning after a visit to the Masseria’s vegetable garden, and usually consists of the daily harvest and fresh fish. However, it is not only the freshness of the ingredients which is important but also the respect for old recipes. In the evenings everyone gathers around a big table to enjoy the food, the wine, and sometimes a local Pizzica performance. Maria Grazia is a passionate baker and breakfast includes her baked delicacies, fresh fruit, jams and yoghurt. Guests also have the chance to pick up some Mediterranean cooking skills or help with the harvest of the grapes.
If not baking, Maria Grazia likes to show her guests all the natural treasures of the surrounding countryside and nearby beaches. Many interesting towns, including Lecce, are easily reachable from here too. After all this activity, one might consider a relaxing massage – just ask and it can be arranged!
Staying at Masseria Tenuta Potenti pleases all senses.
"Masseria Potenti- I don’t know where to begin! It is by far the most beautiful place I have stayed so far.
The attention to details and the thought that goes into the table settings and venue everyday is incredible and so personal. Every morning we awoke to different flowers and table decorations!
The staff were very friendly to us, even with our loud and challenging children!
The constantly changing menu was such a dream and the food delicious.
I think it took us a few days to realise the beauty of this Masseria is; to never leave. We attempted to go out a few times and learnt early on that the location isn’t the best, and the surrounding restaurants pretty rubbish.
Potenti really are onto something special there and we will be sure to recommend people to visit.
Overall our experience with Cielo di Puglia has been an extremely positive one, your involvement has been incredibly helpful and informative and the process very easy.
We tried a lot of recommendations during our two weeks and the ones that stood out for us were all recommended by you."

“In der Masseria Potenti ist man fast wie in einer Familie, die Zimmer grosszügig, das Essen sehr fein und eine idyllische Atmosphäre.”
