Trulli 1859 consists of a cluster of 4 independent trulli and lamie. Built around a lovely garden an almost village like atmosphere is created, with lots of private and a few common spaces. There is also a vegetable patch for guests to harvest their own vegetables and a vineyard, belonging to the property.
Chiara, the kind owner, is truly marvellous at interior styling and at giving new life to old things. Every part of the property feels utterly charming, comfortable, fresh and unique. Much thought and enthusiasm has gone into restoring this property which belonged to Chiara’s ancestors. It really is all about the details!
Lamia Grande, a shelter for farm animals in the past, is now a lovely apartment with kitchen, living area, bedroom and bathroom. There is also a private terrace and small private garden.
Trulli 1859 is located in a very small hamlet of other trulli and gives guests a glimpse of real life in the Apulian countryside.
Walking through the gates of Trulli 1859 one leaves the outside world behind and enters into a joyful and calm haven with colourful flowers and beauty everywhere.

“It was great, we had a lovely holiday. Chiara was very nice and gave us some recommendations, which we followed through!
We enjoyed everything really.. every little village and city we went to! About anything that could have been made better, the only thing we can think of (and it’s being picky) is the mattresses, which could be better. But a part from that, everything was great. Having Cisternino very near was quite comfortable, as the village is very cute and you can easily go there to have dinner or breakfast. Being surrounded by fields too, and the house was beautifully decorated :) Thank you for your interest.”
