The lamia and its Saracen trulli have been carefully restored keeping the surrounding nature and its preservation in mind- solar panels are used as a source of energy.
The interior design was in the hands of Gian Paolo Guerra, who mastered the combination of old and new, turning these formerly simple dwellings into a chic abode with a touch of rustic Apulian charm. Predominant materials are stone, wood and linen and the colour scheme mainly sticks with the neutrals, creating warmth and light, while some splashes of colour remind us of the landscape of Puglia. Another hint at the lamia’s origins and location are the custom made ceramic pieces created in a workshop in Grottaglie- a town famous for its ceramic art.
With 3 double bedrooms, 2 of which are in the main part of the lamia and one in the adjacent Saracen Trullo, the property is ideal for 6 guests. However, with a sofa bed in the living room this number maybe extended to 8, if necessary. The outside kitchen is as well equipped as the kitchen inside and a favorite part of this charming property, together with its dining area and the al fresco living room.
All furnishings are of a high quality and the smallest details have been thought of.
