At the end of a small path in the heart of the Valle d’Itria and between the handsome towns of Ostuni and Martina Franca, lies Torretta Lo Zingariello. Embedded by a beautiful olive grove it feels peaceful and rejuvenating. The path does not continue beyond the property’s borders and like a secret hiding place, Lo Zingariello appears private and secluded. Sitting on the terrace looking out onto the gnarled olive trees, only interrupted by the singing of the birds, almost has a meditative effect. The kind owners who fell in love with this place and made it their own have done an outstanding job in preserving its magic. They put all their heart and spirit into furnishing their Trullo with pieces of antiques they collected with care, drawer chests and chairs which they painstakingly renovated and added a few nice twists to. Beautiful materials are used throughout, nice to look at and pleasant to the touch.
The smallest detail has been paid attention to- from the joyful kitchenware to tasteful decorative objects sourced in antique markets throughout the region. In the hot summer, cooling off under the shower outside, open-air cooking and dining under the stars are priceless experiences. As the warm season comes to an end and the evenings turn colder, the fireplace inside provides warmth and atmosphere. The living and dining area is situated under the dome of the Torretta, with the kitchen, leading out into the garden, right next to it. On either side of the living area a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom with shower complete the property and create a comfortable home for two couples or a family of four.
It is the soothing ambience of this country home and its tasteful details that reach the heart and define Lo Zingariello.
