Trullo Iduna is an authentic 200 years old property sitting on top of a little hill looking out onto the pristine countryside of the Itria Valley. It is positioned in almost equal distance to the quaint towns of Cisternino and Martina Franca. The property has been sensibly restored, paying the most possible attention to creating a comfortable home without jeopardizing the original structure. As a matter of fact, only ancient building techniques have been used in the renovation and no new parts have been added to the already existing Trullo. What we find inside is antique “chianche” floors, a fireplace, arches and alcoves blending perfectly with modern pieces of art, an Indian writing desk and other treasured pieces of furniture diligently sourced by the well-travelled owners. The Trullo offers all modern comforts while allowing its guests to breath in the air of its modest past. The kitchen and living area form the heart of the house with the two double bedrooms and two bathrooms attached on either side.
One of the bathrooms has been integrated in the thick walls of the Trullo and only offers limited space, while being absolutely functional and well-designed. Joined to one of the bedrooms is another cosy space which can be used as an additional bedroom if required. Trullo Iduna’s outside spaces are spectacular! A beautiful swimming pool, various outside lounges- including a romantic fire pit- and “al fresco” dining areas complete the picture. Shaded spaces with soft pillows, views onto the pastoral landscape and the scent of wild herbs are the final ingredients for an exceptional holiday. Indeed it is very difficult to leave Trullo Iduna even for a couple of hours, but you will not regret it- charming towns, beautiful beaches, friendly locals and delicious Apulian produce await you outside. Sharing the stories of the day in front of the fire, underneath the stars and with a nice glass of local wine in hand, will be priceless.
