Il Trullo Del Glicine is one of 3 trulli that make up this little piece of paradise on a plot of 3 hectares in the Valle D’Itria. Each trullo is completely independent and absolute privacy is ensured. Only the pool is shared between all 3 trulli.
The pool and trulli are embedded in beautiful Mediterranean vegetation and the scent of lavender and rosemary lingers in the air.
The trulli were restored with the uttermost respect for tradition, the existing structure and their surroundings. The interiors are almost minimalist and contemporary yet warm and welcoming. Organic and high quality materials have been used and many elements are bespoke and unique.
The atmosphere is soothing and the stillness and tranquillity are only interrupted by the breeze across the trees or the chirping of a cricket. This is certainly a great place to unwind, retune your senses and return to nature.
Trullo Del Glicine is ideal for summer living- spending your days in the of an olive tree, cooking simple and fresh dishes in the well-equipped outside kitchen and only return inside for a refreshing shower or an afternoon nap.
The trullo is compact with one double bedroom, an additional room with sofa-bed and a bathroom with shower. Adjacent but only accessible from the outside, is a lamia with a bedroom with 2 single beds and a 2nd bathroom with shower.
Purposely the trulli have not been equipped with many technological gadgets but certainly ooze charm and offer the peace and quiet many people are escaping their hectic city lifestyles for.
Guests can harvest their vegetables from a small garden and pick their eggs directly from the chickens.
The trullo is great for friends or a family and of course, for a larger group, several trulli can be rented together.
The picturesque towns of the Valle D’Itria are only a short drive from here and so are some beautiful beaches along the Adriatic coast. So if you manage to switch from relax to curiosity mode, there are many places to be discovered. Otherwise, these will just have to wait for your next trip to Puglia.
